Anne Frank’s diary adds co-author

When Anne Frank’s diary was first published by her father, Otto Frank, he assured readers in a prologue that the words of the book were mostly those of his daughter, according to The New York Times.

However, the Anne Frank Fonds, the foundation who now holds the copyright to “The Diary of Anne Frank,” is legally adding Otto Frank as the co-author of the book in order to extend the copyright from Jan. 1 to the end of 2050, according to the source.

The New York Times reported the announcement has caused anger among some despite the fact that the foundation announced the authorship change a year ago. According to The New York Times, the change could cause a possible dispute between the Anne Frank House museum in Amsterdam, a separate organization that has fought with the Anne Frank foundation over legal property questions.

“The Diary of Anne Frank” has sold more than 30 million copies and has been translated into 70 languages, according to The New York Times.

‘Don Vito’ Margera passes away at age 59

According to Us Weekly, Vincent “Don Vito” Margera, known for being Bam Margera’s prank-loving uncle on the MTV series “Jackass,” has died at the age of 59.

The reality television star was diagnosed with kidney and liver failure in recent years, according to People and in October slipped into a coma. Bam Margera’s mother told TMZ Vincent died around 6:45 a.m.

Vincent Margera has also appeared on Bam Margera’s MTV spin-off reality show, “Viva La Bam,” according to People, and was characterized by his theatrical and short-fused personality. People also reported Vincent Margera’s television appearances were stopped following his 2007 conviction on two counts of child sexual assault after groping two underage girls at an autograph signing. Vincent Margera was ordered by the court not to appear as Don Vito for 10 years, according to People.

YouTube star Caleb Logan dies unexpectedly

According to E! News, 13-year-old YouTube star Caleb Logan died from an undiagnosed heart condition called hypertrophic cardiomyopathy.

Logan, who comes from the YouTube famous Bratayley family, died unexpectedly on Oct. 1, according to People.  The family shared the news in an Instagram tribute post on Nov. 10, according to People, which said the “doctor said there was nothing we could have done differently.”

Last month Logan’s parents told ABC News that the family had a history of the disease that caused the heart problem, according to People, but Logan’s sisters have been tested and show no signs of having the disease.
